Server Safety

A VPN with a larger number of servers is a better choice. CyberGhost has approximately 6000 servers spread over 88 countries.

Its main competitor has roughly 3000 servers spread over 40 countries. To protect its users, it shut down its Hong Kong server in 2020. This is in accordance with the Chinese government’s implementation of an internet security legislation. Instead, it urged consumers to utilize servers in Japan or Singapore.

For this category, I’ll use a VPN provider with a larger number of servers. CyberGhost wins this round.

China

One of the most appealing features of a VPN service is the ability to escape China’s firewall. In the case of CyberGhost vs TunnelBear, neither VPN provider can do so. CyberGhost has never claimed to be able to bypass China’s tough firewall.
